This section will be used to detail the latest service changes affecting the 343 bus route as soon as they arise.

16 April and 21 April 2012Operation Revision and Route Revision: REVISED SATURDAY ROUTE AND NEW OPERATOR FOR WEEKDAY SERVICE

From the above date, weekday journeys hitherto operated by Stagecoach Manchester will be taken over by Stott’s of Oldham. There may be slight changes to the timetable.

From the 21 April, JPT Travel’s Saturday service will no longer serve the section of Huddersfield Road between Staley Road and Winterford Road and Egmont Street. Instead, it will be rerouted via Staley Road, Station Road and Winterford Road following Stott’s of Oldham’s daytime route. Then it will continue to Huddersfield Road up to Well I’ Th’ Hole Road junction turning left onto Manchester Road near the George Hotel.

The new route will also call at or near the Tollemache Arms and Roaches Lock public houses, the Relish restaurant, Woodend Mills (for the art studios and gardens) and The Britannia Inn before turning towards Stamford Road and continuing towards Top Mossley, Grotton, Lees and Oldham.

The First Pioneer route (Sunday, Bank Holidays and evenings) and the Stagecoach Manchester 217/218 services remain unaffected.
